Started at the Military Academy and served for 37 years in in the Royal Netherlands Air Force. Worked in several posts mainly related to Maintenance and Logistics for the Defence Forces and followed several courses for (top) management in the Netherlands and abroad. He also was detached to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and was Aide the Camp to her Majesty the Queen.
